About Me

Being creative has always been a part of me, my childhood filled with memories of writing stories and being fascinated with the arts and media. I am forever grateful that my creative pursuits were encouraged and nurtured and that I have been able to turn them into a career.

My interests led me to realize how much I value creating connection and meaning. This laid a clear path in building my professional life. First, I needed to continue filling my thirst for knowledge.

I earned my bachelor's degree in communication with a public relations minor from Michigan State University. While studying there, I had many opportunities in and out of the lecture halls, which shaped me personally and professionally. I was a part of the university's fashion, beauty, and lifestyle magazine, VIM Magazine, as well as Women's Glee. I spent many hours in the library absorbed in writing many, many papers (some even in French). I held multiple jobs, from a Biggby Coffee barista, to running marketing for a student-run small business, and freelance journalism. I also interned at a direct marketing agency, a boutique SEO marketing firm, and a local chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

There is so much to discover and explore in our world, and I have made it my mission to learn and experience as I can. I have strived to create a positive impact on those around me throughout my professional journey. These guiding stars have brought me roles in corporate and non-profit, allowing me to see the endless possibilities of this line of work. I have driven charitable donations through shop-to-give campaigns and crowdfunding, shared stories about people and organizations changing the landscape of Michigan's communities, equipped community leaders with resources, dove into the world of freelancing, and more.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, trying out new recipes, attending and participating in community theater, and capturing life's moments on camera.
